Fruits and berries

Hi all! Not so long ago, in my hometown Energodar there was a festival in which our family took part. After we decided on the theme of our composition (Ukrainian stove) and submitted an application for participation, the question arose of how to build this miracle. Knowing that such competitions in lately take place in many cities not only in Ukraine, but also in Russia, it was decided to google in search of any examples. Having surfed the Internet, we found photos from other parades of strollers, however, we did not see any examples of the creation anywhere. Therefore, I decided to fill this gap and write my story about the construction of a Ukrainian stove, so to speak, based on a baby carriage. Maybe this will be useful to someone.

So, imagining the shape and size of the oven, we are looking for suitable materials. We couldn’t find any suitable ones, so we had to buy it from what we had: a piece of a large, torn TV box and a couple of small boxes found at my parents’ house.

We take out an old stroller from the balcony (of course, you can also use a new one, but since we had an old one, we decided to use it). We’re figuring out how we’ll put a box on top of it so that we have access to the handles and in general this whole miracle somehow moves. The length and width should be slightly larger than the length and width of the stroller itself, because... We will put the stove on top. Height to taste. I chose it to be a little higher than the handles, plus there would also be a chimney.

The tools we will need are: tape, a stationery knife, PVA glue, Whatman paper, watercolor paints, a large stapler, a level (as a ruler), scissors, a pencil, a tape measure, etc.

We measure all the required dimensions and get to work.

Since I sculpted the walls of the oven from different pieces, I had to do a lot of work with a stapler.

An assistant arrived. Work has stopped.

About half the day was spent on this. We glue all the parts with tape, and in some places we twist them with wire so that this creation does not fall apart during the competition. The only things missing are the roof and the chimney.

Let's add what's missing. We attach the chimney to the roof with double-sided tape. The roof with the chimney is removable, because We will put the structure on top of the stroller.

We cover it with whatman paper. We admire it.

Let's figure out how we'll attach the accessories. It's better, but there aren't enough drawings.

We are looking for inspiration in Ukrainian ornaments and photographs of real stoves.

We pick up a pencil and watercolor, the smell of which immediately reminded us of school drawing lessons.

A couple more hours and the drawings are ready.

The ornaments on the chimney and on the sides were printed and glued on, because... I had no desire to draw them by hand already at midnight before the stroller parade.

At the back you can see holes for handles cut with a stationery knife.

Here we are.

At the end of the stroller parade, the stove went to the kindergarten as a decoration for the corner of Ukrainian folk art.

Russian stove is essential attribute many famous fairy tales. It would take a long time to list all the works, for example, this tale about Emelya “At the Pike’s Command,” the story about Clever Girl and Lenivitsa, and Baba Yaga could not do without a stove. A homemade stove will be an excellent backdrop for a home performance. It’s easy to make with your children, using scrap materials that are on hand in every home.

1. Take a long toothpaste box, a sheet of white office paper, glue in a pencil and scissors for work. Small scraps of brown and black paper and a black gel pen will also come in handy.

2. Cut the box approximately in half with scissors.

3. Connect the two resulting parts, placing them at right angles to each other. Wait until the glue dries.

4. Completely cover the resulting box blank with white paper. You can first draw a template with a pen, then cut it along the lines.

5. Place the chimney on the higher part. To make it, either a small box in the shape of a parallelepiped or pieces of cardboard that can be easily glued together are suitable.

6. To create a firebox, cut out a small rectangle from white paper, which can later be used as a template. Also cut out a black semicircle and a brown stripe.

7. Gluing all the parts one by one, create an image of a firebox with a brick edging.

8. Attach the paper imitation to the craft.

9. Cover the chimney with brown paper.

10. Draw the brickwork on the chimney with a gel pen, and insert a piece of cotton wool into the chimney itself and fluff it to create the illusion of smoke.

11. If desired, add a red flame to the black background of the firebox for a more realistic picture. Place Sloth or another fairy-tale character on the stove.

The final look of the craft.

Now we will make a character who rode on the stove. Emelya origami is done like this:
Prepare from yellow paper, painted on one side, 2 squares measuring 10 x 10 cm (head, legs), from paper of any color, 1 rectangle measuring 5.5 x 3.5 cm (hat), 1 square measuring 9 x 9 cm ( sheepskin coat), 2 squares measuring 6 x 6 cm (hands), 1 square of dark color measuring 13 x 13 cm (pants). Fold the head, hat, sheepskin coat and arms using the folding patterns for the origami Ivan Tsarevich figurine.
Legs Bend a square with a side of 10 cm diagonally. Place the triangle at a right angle upwards.

1. Lower the right angle (one layer of paper).

2. Raise the two bottom corners from the middle of the bottom side.

3. Bend the resulting triangles.

4. Turn the piece over to the other side.

5. Open your pockets.

6. Fold the corners and then fold the piece in half.

7. Bend the corner into the part.

8. Check the result.
Pants Fold a triangle from a dark-colored square, then bend it in half.

In this article we will tell you how to make furniture for the mini museum “Russian Izba” with your own hands. kindergarten from available materials in just one day.

For work we take matchboxes, cardboard, tree branches. The tools are also the simplest - a knife, a hammer, small nails, sandpaper, any file or jigsaw, glue, paint. Proposed manufacturing method wooden furniture does not in any way pretend to be professional carpentry work. But even a completely unprepared person will be able to make a minimum set of furniture for the mini museum of folk life “Russian Izba”. All the furniture is made for the interior decoration of the mini museum “Russian Izba” with an area of 30x30 cm. We talk about how to make such a house out of cardboard in the article. But the furniture can be used without a house, simply by placing it on a table or shelf.

Furniture for the Russian Izba mini museum is suitable not only for museum use, but also for children’s play activities both in kindergarten and at home.

Table and stool made of matchboxes. DIY furniture for the Russian Izba mini museum.

To make table legs we need four empty matchboxes. Pull out the boxes a little, coat two of them with glue. Places of lubrication with glue are shown by shading.

Let's connect both legs-corners. To do this, slightly crush one of the matchboxes.

The legs for our table are ready.

Let's paint the table legs and glue on the tabletop. We cut out the tabletop from cardboard. Size 13x7 cm

The table is almost ready, all that remains is to paint the tabletop. Now let's start making the stool. The technology is very similar to the table, but the stool should be lower. Therefore, we cut the matchboxes into two parts.

This is what the base for a matchbox stool looks like.

We glue the seat, paint it, and the stool is ready.

In this way, you can make a Russian hut and benches for a mini museum of folk dolls and folk life. You can try this yourself. And now we will tell you how to make wooden benches with your own hands.

Bench. DIY furniture for the mini museum “Russian Izba”

To make a bench we need a straight tree branch with a diameter of 3-3.5 cm.

Let's saw off a piece 15-16 cm long from the branch. Using a knife and hammer, split it in half, and then split it again to make a board.

Use a knife and sandpaper to level the board.

Let's cut off 4 cm of round pieces from the same branch. Split it in half. We got two legs for our bench.

Let's nail the seat to the legs with small nails.

The bench for the mini museum “Russian Izba” is ready

This way you can make benches of any size for your mini museum. If you have the desire and opportunity, you can cover the benches with stain or paint.

Spinning wheel. DIY furniture for the mini museum “Russian Izba”

Let’s say right away that our spinning wheel is not a completely accurate imitation. A proper spinning wheel should have a bottom, which is placed on a bench, and then the spinner sits on it and holds the spinning wheel in a stable position with the weight of her body. But making a spinning wheel with a bottom is more difficult and, moreover, it will not be stable. Therefore, we made a spinning wheel on a straight base with an emphasis on the floor. Which is wrong, but convenient.

Cut a spinning wheel from wood, cardboard or plywood. Let's paint or tint the spinning wheel and apply patterned designs.

Spinning wheel template for the Russian Izba mini museum

Let's make a short bench for the spinning wheel, just like we made benches for the hut. Glue or nail the spinning wheel to the bench.

Let's make a spindle. To do this, take a toothpick and cut off a part of it. Wrap the toothpick with thread. Secure the end of the thread with any glue so that it does not unwind.

We tie the tow to the spinning wheel. We used flax, but if you don’t have it, you can take sanitary flax or woolen threads, after “fragling” them first. Mohair also works well.

We unwind the thread from the spinning wheel and wind it onto the spindle.

Do-it-yourself spinning wheel for the Russian Izba mini museum is ready.

Staircase DIY furniture for the mini museum “Russian Izba”.

We take two sticks of equal length, corresponding to the desired length of the stairs. We outline the cuts for the steps.

We make cuts for the steps. To do this, we make two parallel cuts at a distance of 0.5-0.7 cm to about half the stick, and then use a knife to break out part of the wood between the cuts.

Let's cut the required number of sticks-steps.

We insert the step sticks into the cuts. For strength, we fix the joints with threads.

The extension ladder for the Russian Izba mini museum is ready.

The necessary set of furniture for the Russian Izba mini museum, which you can make with your own hands from scrap materials, is ready.

But the most important thing in a Russian hut is missing - a stove. This post is dedicated to how to make a stove with your own hands
